Hazza is currently dominating the world of music and fashion. Part way through the absolutely epic Love on Tour that is the hottest ticket in town, not to mention a fresh album with Harry’s House and a Gucci campaign here and there, Stylers have had plenty to quench their thirst over the past few months.

Being a fashion icon for a whole new generation and his gender fluid style inspo means that we have seen some remarkable fashion and hair moments over this tour and over the years. But we wanna take it all the way back, from One Direction days when we first met Barry in 2010 when 1D came (unbelievably) third in X Factor to the trailblazing Harry Edward we see before us today. Grab your cowboy hats and feather bowers, it’s time for some serious hair inspiration.

2010

What a mop, what an audition. One of the main things that stands out when we think of Harry’s X Factor audition is that I miss Topman grey cardigans, they are overdue for a reboot. The other is Harry’s curled locks. It’s a youthful, playful, tamed style(s) that uses Hazza’s natural curls and textures to create a well-groomed look. For an effortless and stylish version, work in some sea salt spray and head out. It’s giving hottest guy in year 11 vibes.

2012

Fast forward to 2012, a blowdryer, pomade and Burberry came calling. Harry's lazy mop quickly evolved into a windswept style that brought more definition to his super laid back look. Indie sleeze with a clean cut boy band edge started to bring our Hazza into his own. This look requires some serious volume and is perfect for anyone with a bit of a natural curl.

2013

Sell out tours and One Direction are flying the flag for UK music around the world. Not bad for third place. The classic boy band look is beginning to evolve into a lengthy, quiff haircut that requires lots of gel, good clobber and some hairspray to lock in the look. Low key Hollywood glam at its finest.

2015

The hair is fully grown out, all out rockstar mode now and this look is pretty easy to recreate if you have longer hair and look after it. Campaigns with Gucci saw some dreamy, 70s campaigns and florals were on display, which works perfectly alongside a longer hairstyle. Tie back with a bobble on casual days and wear fully down for some effortless glam on nights out. Here we see a graduation of Harry’s styles from boyband to serious music artist. Remnants of the previous Hazza looks are nodded to with the gelled back hair keeping it out of your eyes. This hairstyle will take time, effort and commitment but like most of Harry's haircuts, relies on your hair's natural waves and textures to create something beautiful.

2016

Goodbye One Direction, hello solo Harry…

When cutting your hair makes news internationally, you know you are having a moment. And it was all for a good cause too, with those precious locks donated to The Little Prince's Trust for auction. In came a short, structured, styled look that moved Harry from boyband to Hollywood actor and solo artist. This sleek, styled look still requires a decent amount of length and needs to be slicked back to create a timeless, roaring 20’s look.

2018

In a perfect coming of age moment, Harry’s curls are reappearing as he embarks on his first sell-out world tour. The length is growing her, the look is effortless, but the styling products are doing a lot of work to maintain a modern, mid-length, refreshed haircut that oozes sex appeal.

2019

Met Gala Harry, one of our personal faves. Styles is now a fully fledged fashionista and one of our absolute fave looks is gender-fluid fashion mixed with a mid length hairstyle. Nothing more to say other than iconic. For similar results, ask for a short to mid length haircut that plays on your hair's natural textures and then work product into your hair and push it all the way back. Then hit em with some pearls too.

2020

Perfectly dishevelled but not out of control, the pearl earrings have developed into pearl necklaces and the haircut is something we know and love. This is a haircut that says I know my style and what works with my hair textures. Longer on top and slightly choppier on the sides that accentuate Harry’s waves. This is a great look.

2021

Effortless coiffed curly hair with a leather outfit and signature feature bower, Styles had ascended into a man that knows how to be the star of the show. At the 63rd annual Grammy awards, he debuted the look and won big at the awards too. As you do. The ideal mid-length style for anyone with naturally curly hair.

2022

And here we are today. What a journey it has been for Harry and us Stylers. Can you believe it’s already been 12 years of Harry and counting? As we type, Harry has just played a sold-out Wembley stadium gig as part of his ongoing world tour. After an iconic Coachella performance and the tour life outfits hitting us daily, we see an ever so slightly longer look that uses the trademark curls and slicks them back for an iconic look.
