Some clients arrive knowing exactly what they want. Others bring screenshots, half-formed ideas or simply the feeling that something needs to change. We start by listening — to your hair, your routine, what you love and what you never want to deal with again.

Our team brings together different techniques, specialisms and ways of looking at hair, which means we can let those worlds overlap rather than forcing your hair into one lane.

Built around people, not rules

RCNQ was shaped by the belief that a salon should work around people, rather than expecting people to work around it.

We price by time rather than gender, ask rather than assume, and keep questioning the traditions that make hair spaces harder to navigate for some people. The appointment matters just as much as what you see in the mirror at the end of it.

RCNQ is also home to Barber Below, our anti-barbershop. Bringing salon and barbering into one shared space means techniques, ideas and people can move more freely between them.
